Abstract
Abstract Fire retarding agents having the structure of substituted imides, with the imide portion derived from a halogenated DielsAlder adduct of an unsaturated carboxylic compound such as maleic anhydride and a diene such as cyclopentadiene and the substituent group on the nitrogen being alkyl or aromatic, are useful in flame retardant plastic compositions.
