Abstract
Abstract 2,4-bis-pyridylium-s-triazines of the formula WHEREIN R1 represents hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower haloalkyl, NH2, OH, phenyl, 4-pyridyl, N''-methyl-4''-pyridylium, R2 and R3 each independently represent alkyl, alkenyl, an alkyl radical substituted by halogen, alkoxy, alkylthio, cyano, alkoxycarbonyl, and X represents the anion of an inorganic or organic acid or a trivalent halogen anion, are growth regulating agents which produce increases in yield or quality in crop plants or which facilitate harvesting.
