Abstract
Abstract A coupled article formed by having a pair of members inserted one into the other is placed within a plating chamber. The vapor of an extremely hard coating material is introduced into said chamber while a rotational or vibrational motion is conferred upon one of the pair of members, so that said coating material is deposited to a prescribed thickness on the fitted surfaces of the pair of members composing said coupled article.
