Abstract

Abstract A method of transferring electrographic toner powder images to plain paper, wherein a transfer device includes an apertured, electrically conductive support member overlying which is a surface layer in the form of a pile fabric having a multiplicity of electrically conductive fibrous loops, and vacuum means cooperating with the apertures for drawing copy paper into intimate clinging engagement with the surface layer.
