Abstract Crystalline glaziovine having the formula: AND ITS ACID ADDITION SALTS HAVE PSYCHOTROPIC PROPERTIES USEFUL IN THERAPEUTIC COMPOSITIONS FOR THE RELIEF OF ANXIETY. The alkaloid is obtained by extraction of the bark and leaves of the genus Ocotea (Lauraceae), species glaziovii.
