Abstract
Abstract In case of baking or graphitizing carbon moldings covered by packing granular cokes, the oxidation of the packing cokes can be effectively prevented by covering further the surface of the packing cokes placed around the carbon moldings with refractory balls having diameters larger than the sizes of the packing cokes but smaller than about 50 mm.
