Abstract
Abstract Intumescent compositions of the invention comprise (A) aminealdehyde interpolymers wherein at least half of the amine units are derived from a sulfanilamide-type compound, (B) epoxy resins, and (C) curing agents. Preferred compositions are those wherein the interpolymer is a sulfanilamide-formaldehyde copolymer, the epoxy resin is a liquid glycidyl ether epoxy resin, and the curing agent is a polyamide.
