Abstract
Abstract An electrode plate is made by loading a metallic plaque with active battery material comprising the reaction product of a starting material comprising Ni(II) hydroxide, and effective amounts of halogen, reacted in a caustic hydroxide solution, the reaction product containing about 75 to 95 weight % Ni(II) hydroxide and about 5 to 25 wt.% Ni(III) hydroxide.
