Abstract
Abstract New piperidine-spiro-hydantoin derivatives represented by the formula WHEREIN R represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkenoyl group which may be substituted with an aryl group, a hydroxyalkyl group, an alkoxyalkyl group, an alkoxycarbonylalkyl group, an acyloxyalkyl group, a cyanoalkyl group or nitroso group, and X and Y individually represent oxygen atom or sulfur atom. They are useful as stabilizers against photo- and thermaldeterioration of various synthetic polymers.
