Abstract

Abstract This physical therapy machine includes independently driven arm and leg exercisers mounted to a common frame. The arm exerciser includes a pair of exerciser members reciprocatively mounted within sleeves fixedly mounted at opposite ends of an oscillating shaft mounted to the frame. The upper ends of the arm exerciser members are provided with handholds and are moved in an orbital path determined by guide plates having contoured tracks which engage and control the path of the lower ends of these members. The leg exerciser includes a rotating, double crank assembly having journal-mounted foot supports attached. The crank assembly is mounted on a base, which is lengthwise adjustable relative to the common frame.
