Abstract
Abstract A metallic composite is made up of an aluminum matrix and highmodulus graphite fibers coated with nickel. The composite is prepared by applying a nickel coating to graphite fiber yarn, alining the yarn between aluminum sheets in a stacked array and heating the array under pressure to obtain diffusion bonding.
