Abstract
Abstract An antistatic agent for plastics comprising a compound of the formula WHEREIN R1 is alkyl having 7 to 29 carbon atoms, R2 is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 or 2 carbon atoms, R3 is lower alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a hydroxyalkyl group of the formula (IN WHICH R5 is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 or 2 carbon atoms and y is an integer of from 1 to 3), R4 is lower alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a hydroxyalkyl group of the formula (IN WHICH R6 is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 or 2 carbon atoms and z is an integer of from 1 to 3), and x is an integer of from 1 to 3. The agent can be mixed in molding compositions and it also can be applied as a coating on molded articles.
