Abstract
Abstract A method is provided for making alkylene-bis(nitrobenzoate)s having the following formula: WHEREIN X is a halogen, n is an integer of 0-4 and R is a C2-C8 alkylene radical. Alkylene-bis(aminobenzoate)s can be made conveniently therefrom and are useful in the preparation of flame resistant polyester-amide fibers.
