Abstract
Abstract Hydrocracking catalysts of improved activity comprising a Group VIB metal hydrogenation component and a crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite base are prepared by adding the Group VIB metal component to the zeolite in an aqueous acidic medium which maintains the Group VIB metal component in an essentially undissolved form. Catalysts prepared in this manner are found to display higher hydrocracking activity than conventional compositions wherein the Group VIB metal component is added to the zeolite by impregnation from an aqueous solution thereof.
