Abstract
Abstract A continuous method of making an electrical conductor or roving comprised of a conductive bundle of glass filaments, wherein the resistance of the roving is continuously monitored and controlled. The method includes heating the filament bundle on a drum having controllable heat elements, forming the conductive coating or surface, continuously measuring the electrical resistance of the filament bundle, comparing the actual resistance with a predetermined standard and controlling the heating elements in the drum to control the curing of the filament bundle.
