Abstract
Abstract High molecular weight polymers consisting essentially of recurring units of the formula ARE USEFUL FOR THE PRODUCTION OF FIBERS HAVING A HIGH INITIAL MODULUS. The initial modulus is increased and the orientation angle is reduced in the undrawn fibers by heating the fibers at a temperature of at least 350*C while under tension, or while relaxed.
