Abstract
Abstract Quaternary ammonium derivatives of bisimidazoline compounds which are characterized in having a long chain aliphatic substituent in the 2 and 2'' positions of the respective rings and wherein the 1, 1'' linking entity is an alkylene radical or polyalkylene segments internally joined by an amino or amido nitrogen atom(s). These derivatives are highly effective fabric softeners having unique physical properties.
