Abstract

Abstract A dual handle construction for use in carrying a casket is described. A first, fixed handle is attached to the casket wall at a predetermined distance therefrom. A second handle, pivotally supported over said first handle, extends at a greater distance from the wall. The latter is generally used by pallbearers for carrying the casket, whereas the first handle is used particularly for lowering the casket into the grave.
