Abstract
Abstract A Jacquard heald is secured to a fastening hook or element by an elatic retraction cord gripped at its ends by helical spirals on the heald and hook. The inner diameter of the spirals is slightly smaller than the cross-sectional diameter of the cord, whereby the latter is securely held in the spirals.
