Abstract

Abstract An electrical control system is provided for automatic vehicle transmissions wherein the speed changing operation of a vehicle driving system is effected in response to the energization or deenergization of the solenoid coils of gear shifting solenoid valves. The electrical control system includes an operating section comprising an MOS large scale integrated circuit which performs necessary logical operations on digital signals corresponding to the vehicle speed and throttle valve position and digital signals indicative of the selected shift condition and driving condition whereby the solenoid coils are energized by the shift control signals produced from the operating section. Thus, the electrical control system is extremely compact as a whole and inexpensive to manufacture.
