Abstract

Abstract A method and apparatus is disclosed for use in connection with a skip field recording system in which sequential fields are combined to form a composite field which composite field is then processed in the conventional manner. The field combining is done, for example, by use of a storage type pick-up tube which is exposed to a first field image and then to a second field image without an intervening discharge of the storage tube. The information then read out of the storage tube is the sum or combination of the information contained in both fields. Composite field signals formed in this manner are then recorded in the conventional manner of skip field recording.
