Abstract

Abstract The multi-faced golf ball putter of the instant invention comprises a generally rectangular laminated putter head providing a flat rectangular vertical putting face on one side thereof, and a rectangular vertical putting face on the opposite side thereof having a central vertical arcuately cut-away portion with vertical tangent surfaces extending outwardly and angularly therefrom. The opposite ends of the said putter head are preferably substantially square with one end thereof disposed vertically and the opposite end thereof disposed on a selected downwardly and outwardly slope. A round shaft is fixed into and extends upwardly from the central portion of said putter head preferably terminating into a square upper hand grip with opposite sides thereof disposed parallel with respect to the ends and the sides of the said putter head.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim 205 words
A multi-faced golf ball putter comprising a. a generally rectangular putter head having a flat top and bottom, vertically disposed rectangular elongated putter side faces, and substantially square putter end faces, b. the longitudinally central portion of one putter side face is vertically arcuately cut-away to a lateral depth slightly greater than approximately one-half the radius of a conventional golf ball, said cut-away terminating into a pair of relatively narrow laterally spaced vertical outwardly and angularly directed tangent portions permitting the stroking of said golf ball centrally of said putter side face, c. a vertically disposed round tapered shaft fixed at its lower end vertically into the top of the said putter head longitudinally central thereof and laterally midway between the center of the vertical arcuate cut-away portion of said one putter side face and the opposite putter side face, d. a substantially square tapered hand grip element telescoped at its lower end portion over and fixed to the upper end portion of said round tapered shaft with each side of said tapered hand grip being oriented in general parallelism with respect to one side or one end of said putter head, and e. a non-slip covering fixed firmly on said square tapered hand grip.

Claim 3
Dependent Claim 79 words
A multi-faced golf ball putter as claimed in claim 1 wherein a. the putter head is preferably formed of a pair of transversely disposed nested metal angles having a lower metal separator and a vertical plastic separator disposed longitudinally between said horizontal and vertical angle legs respectively, b. a longitudinally disposed square plastic filler disposed within the vertical and horizontal legs of said upper angle, and c. means securing all elements of said putter head into an integral whole.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 34 words
A multi-faced golf ball putter as claimed in claim 1 wherein a. one of said substantially square putter head end faces is sloped downwardly anD outwardly at an angle of substantially 10* to 15*.
