Abstract Pharmaceutical compositions for rectal administration, containing an alkali metal disalt of sulbenicillin or carbenicillin, a specified amount of an oily or fatty suppository base and a specified amount of a nonionic surfactant, for example, a polyoxyethylene higher alcohol ether.
