Abstract
Abstract Eutectic mixtures of nematic substances suitable for use as liquid crystals in electro-optic light valves which have a wide nematic range and which are preferably operative at or below normal room temperature are disclosed. A eutectic mixture containing p-methoxy-benzylidene-p''-n-butylaniline and p-ethoxybenzylidene-p''-n-butylaniline is a preferred example.
