Claim 1
Independent Claim
60 words
A METHOD FOR PREVENTING WATER CONTAINED IN STORAGE TANKS OF THE TYPE USED BY GASOLINE FILLING STATIONS TO STORE GASOLINE FROM BEING PUMPED FROM SAID TANKS ALONG WITH GASOLINE WHICH COMPRISES ADDING TO SAID WATER A WATER-SOLUBLE POLYMER IN AN AMOUNT SUFFICIENT TO SUBSTANTIALLY INCREASE THE VISCOSITY OF THE WATER TO A POINT WHEREBY IT IS INCAPABLE OF BEING PUMPED.
Claim 2
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
24 words
The method of claim 1 where the water-soluble polymer is a water-soluble vinyl addition polymer having a molecular weight of at least 1 million.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
