Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 12
Claim 1
Independent Claim 178 words
A hair brush and comb cleaning and disinfecting apparatus, comprising: a. a unitary base member having an integral peripheral seal flange surrounding a central recess; b. a hollow body sealingly supported on the peripheral seal flange of the base member and within which brushes and combs to be cleaned and disinfected are adapted to be supported; c. a cover assembly closing the end of the hollow body remote from the base member to prevent the escape of cleaning and disinfecting fluids from said hollow body; fluid delivery means projecting into said hollow body through said unitary base member and adapted to disperse a cleaning and disinfecting fluid radially outwardly onto the brushes and combs to be cleaned; e. rack means within said hollow body disposed about said fluid delivery means and supported on said base member within said peripheral seal flange and on which brushes and combs to be cleaned are adapted to be detachably secured; and f. means associated with said base member for draining said cleaning and disinfecting fluid from the interior of said hollow body.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 178 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 47 words
The combination according to claim 1, in which said peripheral seal flange on the base member is annular and seal means are provided disposed between said hollow body and the peripheral seal flange to permit ready removal and repLacement of the hollow body on the base member.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 29 words
The combination according to claim 1, in which said hollow body is cylindrical and transparent and projects above said base member, and is detachably associated with said base member.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 73 words
The combination according to claim 1, in which said rack means is fabricated from a multiplicity of elongated wire rods arranged in a grid-like pattern in its flat developed form and which may be rolled into a cylindriform adapted to fit within said hollow body, and clip means are associated with selected ones of said wire rods to detachably secure combs and brushes thereto when said rack is in its flat developed form.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 50 words
The combination according to claim 1, in which motor means are provided supported on said hollow body, and abrading means are provided depending into said hollow body and adapted for rotation by said motor means to abrade the bristles and tines of brushes and combs supported within the hollow body.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 31 words
The combination according to claim 1, in which said fluid delivery means extends into said hollow body through said base member and through said drain means associated with said base member.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 54 words
The combination according to claim 1, in which abrading means are provided within said hollow body disposed in association with said rack means and any brushes or combs disposed thereon and operable to abrade the bristles and tines of said brushes and combs simultaneous to the application thereon of said cleaning and disinfecting fluid.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 66 words
The combination according to claim 7, in which said abrading means includes an electric motor disposed on said cover assembly and having a drive shaft extending into said hollow body, a frame adapted to be detachably secured to said drive shaft for rotation therewith, and bristled brush elements mounted on said frame and arranged to impinge on a hair brush or comb supported on said rack.
