Abstract

Abstract In order to substantially increase the power output of Compton effect lasers, the invention provides for the electron beam to be located inside the cavity containing the photon radiation with which it is to interact. In the Figure, the reference 40 illustrates the cavity and the surface covered with dots, the electron beam; 30 is the accelerator device. The direction of the horizontal arrow is that taken by the emergent photon radiation.
