Abstract
Abstract Copolymers of fluoroalkyl allyl (or methallyl) ethers and maleic anhydride are modified by conversion of anhydride units into acid fluoride groups of fluoroalkyl ester groups. These modified copolymers are useful for many purposes, including application to fibrous materials, e.g., textiles, to enhance their oil- and water-repellency.
