Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to block copolymers of the A-B-A type where each A is the phenoxy residue of a poly(2,6-disubstituted1,4-phenylene oxide) having one terminal hydroxyl per polymer molecule and B is the residue of a carbonate precursor having two groups which are reactive with the hydroxyl group of said poly(phenylene oxide). These compositions are useful in producing molded articles, films, fibers, etc., having modified properties compared to the parent poly(phenylene oxides).
