Abstract
Abstract A device is provided for supporting a spindle of an open-end spinning apparatus wherein a bearing for rotatably supporting a spindle shaft is supported by a bushing member by way of a pair of resiliently yieldable members disposed separately in a cylindrical space between said bushing member and said bearing at the side of both end portions of said bearing. Each resiliently yieldable member comprises an inner protection ring disposed on the bearing, an outer protection ring disposed in the bushing member and a resiliently yieldable piece sandwiched by the inner and outer protection rings.

In a device for supporting a spindle of an open-end spinning apparatus wherein a bushing member is mounted on a machine frame and a spindle shaft of a spinning rotor is turnably supported by a bearing which is coaxially disposed within a cylindrical inner wall of said bushing member, the improvement comprising a pair of resiliently yieldable spaced members in a ring-shaped space between the cylindrical inner wall of said bushing member and a peripheral surface of said bearing at both axial end portions of said bearing, each of said resiliently yieldable members comprising an inner protection ring rigidly mounted on an end peripheral portion of said bearing member and an outer protection ring held by said inner cylindrical wall of said bushing member and a rIng-shaped resiliently yieldable piece sandwiched by said inner and outer protection rings.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
146 words
A device for supporting a spindle of an open-end spinning apparatus according to claim 1, wherein a sealing member is disposed in said bushing member in such a condition that it seals a ring-shaped clearance S1 between the peripheral surface of said spinning rotor and an inner cylindrical wall of the sealing member, said inner protection ring is being disposed inside of and coaxially with said inner cylindrical wall of said bushing member with a clearance S2 therebetween and the dimension of said inner protection ring being designed in a condition S2 <(l2/l1)S1, where l1 represents the distance from the center of said spindle shaft between the outer edges of said bearing assembly, to the outer edge of the open side of said spinning rotor while l2 represents the distance from said center of said spindle shaft to the rotor side edge of said spinning assembly.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
139 words
A device for supporting a spindle of an open-end spinning apparatus according to claim 1, wherein a sealing member is disposed in said bushing member in such a condition that it seals a ring-shaped clearance S1 between the peripheral surface of said spinning rotor and an inner cylindrical wall of the sealing member, said outer protection ring being disposed outside of and coaxially with said bearing with a clearance S2 therebetween and the dimension of said outer protection ring being designed in a condition S2 <(l2/l1)S1, wherein l1 represents the distance from the center of said spindle shaft between the outer edges of said bearing assembly to the outer edge of the open side of said spinning rotor while l2 represents the distance from said center of said spindle shaft to the rotor side edge of said spinning assembly.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
34 words
A device for supporting a spindle of an open-end spinning apparatus according to claim 1, wherein each of said inner protection rings of said yieldable members is provided with an enlarged inner cylindrical portion.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
34 words
A device for supporting a spindle of an open-end spinning apparatus according to claim 1, wherein each of said outer protection rings of said yieldable members is provided with an enlarged outer cylindrical portion.
