Abstract
Abstract This invention relates to polyester sulfonates containing quaternary ammonium groups, obtainable by polycondensation of Nalkyl-dialkanolamines with maleic acid and quaternizing of the polyester with sultones or haloalkanesulfonic acids. By reaction with alkali metal hydrogensulfite, additional sulfonic acid groups can be introduced into the polyester molecule. The polyester salts are utilizable as soil suspension agents in washing agents.
