Abstract

Abstract A system for monitoring very high voltage e.g., 100 kv and above is provided in which a capacitor chain is connected across the voltage. An electromagnetic transformer feeding slow responding circuits is connected across the capacitor at the lower potential and of the chain. An additional impedance, preferably a capacitor, is connected in the chain and a buffer amplifier feeding fast responding circuits is connected across this additional impedance.
