Abstract
Abstract Aryloxy derivatives of aromatic diesters and dinitriles are prepared from reaction of a nitro-substituted phenyl diacid ester or a nitro-substituted phenyl dinitrile with a metal salt of monovalent or divalent aryloxy radicals in the presence of a dipolar aprotic solvent. The invention also includes novel compositions of matter of a difunctional nature prepared in accordance with the above-described process.
