Abstract
Abstract A process for producing differential effects on polymeric or copolymeric acrylonitrile fibers is provided. The processes carried out by pretreating the fibrous materials with aqueous preparations having a pH-value of between 3 and 5 and containing a colorless cation-active, organic ammonium or sulphonium compound with at least one higher alkyl radical at temperatures of at least 85*C and dyeing the so treated material together with untreated material with at least one cationic dyestuff.
