Abstract
Abstract A high pressure electric discharge device having an arc tube containing halogen and mercury together with a light emitting metal. The ratio of atoms of these materials is maintained between 0.08 and 0.75 to attain an almost complete forest of spectral lines appearing generally less than about 5A apart.
