Abstract Substances which are subject to microbial spoilage are preserved by addition of a dihydrocinnamyl phenol, e.g., dihydro-2cinnamyl-phenol, dihydro-4-cinnamyl-phenol, dihydro-2-cinnamyl-4methylphenol, etc.
