Abstract

Abstract Process and composition for improving the octane quality of naphthas. An iridium-containing catalyst, particularly a catalyst of an admixture of platinum, iridium, and either iron or bismuth, or both, composited with a porous, inorganic oxide base, inclusive of halogen, is found especially useful in reforming particularly in redispersing agglomerated iridium in reactivation of the catalyst.
