Claim 2

A HOSE CONSTRUCTION COMPRISING: A TUBULAR CORE FORMED OF HYTREL AROMATIC POLYESTER THERMOPLASTIC RESIN AND DEFINING A SURFACE PORTON; AND A REINFORCING LAYER EXTENDING ABOUT THE CORE AND HAVING AN INNER SURFACE PORTION EMBEDDED IN SAID CORE SURFACE PORTION TO HAVE SOLELY MECHANICALY INTERLOCKED, RETAINED ASSOCIATION WITH SAID COORE FOR REINFORCING THE SAME, THE POLYESTER RESIN OF SAID CORE SURFACE PORTION IS EMBEDDED BEING SUBSTANTIALLY FREE OF STRESS.

Claim 3

The hose construction of claim 1 wherein said core surface portion contains a trace amount of plasticizing material.

Claim 4

The hose construction of claim 1 wherein said reinforcing layer is fibrous.

Claim 5

The hose construction of claim 1 wherein said core surface portion contains a trace amount of solvent for said plasticizing material.

Claim 6

A hose construction comprising: a tubular core formed of Hytrel aromatic polyester thermoplastic resin and defining a surface portion; a reinforcing layer extending about the core and having an inner surface portion embedded in said core surface portion to have soley mechanically interlocked, retained association with said core for reinforcing the same, the polyester resin of said core surface portion in which the reinforcing layer inner portion is embedded being substantially free of stress; a body of aromatic polyester thermoplastic resin on the outer surface of said reinforcing layer; and a second reinforcing layer having an inner surface portion embedded in said body of resin to have solely mechanical interlocked, retained association with said body, the polyester resin of said body in which said second reinforcing layer inner portion is embedded being substantially free of stress.

Claim 7

A hose construction comprising: a tubular core formed of Hytrel aromatic polyester thermoplastic resin and defining a surface portion; a reinforcing layer extending about the core and having an inner surface portion embedded in said core surface portion to have soley mechanically interlocked, retained association with said core for reinforcing the same, the polyester resin of said core surface portion in which the reinforcing layer inner portion is embedded being substantially free of stress; a body of aromatic polyester thermoplastic resin on the outer surface of said reinforcing layer; and a second reinforcing layer having an inner surface portion embedded in said body of resin to have solely mechanical interlocked, retained association with said body, the polyester resin of said body in which said second reinforcing layer inner portion is embedded being substantially free of stress.

Claim 8

The hose construction of claim 5 wherein said body of resin contains trace amounts of plasticizing material.

The hose construction of claim 5 wherein said second reinforcing layer is fibrous.

Claim 10

A hose construction comprising: a tubular core; a reinforcing layer extending about the core for reinforcing the same; a coating of aromatic polyester thermoplastic resin solely mechanically retained on said reinforcing layer; and a sheath of similar aromatic polyester thermoplastic resin autogenously bonded to said coating.

Claim 11

A hose construction comprising: a tubular core; a reinforcing layer extending about the core for reinforcing the same; a coating of aromatic polyester thermoplastic resin solely mechanically retained on said reinforcing layer; and a sheath of similar aromatic polyester thermoplastic resin autogenously bonded to said coating.

Claim 12

The hose construction of claim 8 wherein said core material extends outwardly through said reinforcing layer and said coating comprises a portion of said core material containing a trace amount of plasticizing material.

Claim 13

The hose construction of claim 8 wherein said reinforcing layer is fibrous.

Claim 14

The hose construction of claim 8 wherein said sheath is autogenously bonded to said core.
