Abstract

Abstract A terry cloth is manufactured on a double needle bar Raschel warp knitting machine, said terry cloth including a tight knit ground construction knit under greater tension than the terry threads, which are distributed in preselected areas on the ground construction. Both the ground construction and the terry threads are made simultaneously as part of one knitting operation.
