Abstract
Abstract A high pressure mercury vapor lamp with a coating of a blend of two phosphors, namely green-emitting strontium chlorosilicate activated by divalent europium (Eu2 ) and preferably doped with manganese (Mn2 ), and a red-emitting phosphor on the inner surface of the outer envelope of the lamp produces illumination with improved color rendition in the color temperature range 3,200*-4,500* Kelvin.
