Abstract
Abstract The olefinic components of hydrocarbon streams containing both olefins and aromatics can be selectively hydrogenated using a catalyst comprising (1) an amorphous base component, (2) a crystalline aluminosilicate component preferably comprising 10 to 30 wt.% of the total catalyst and having a silica/alumina mole ratio of at least 2.5 and an alkali metal content of less than about 2.0 wt.% and (3) a transition metal hydrogenation component.
