Claim 1
Independent Claim
137 words
A hang glider which comprises: a. a wing having a continuous leading edge and an area and lift characteristic which is sufficient to dynamically support a person generally only when said wing is less than approximately three chord lengths from the ground, said wing having an aspect ratio in the range of 1.0 to 4.0, an area in the range of 15 to 100 square feet and a loading in the range of 2.0 to 6.25 pounds per square feet when said wing is dynamically supporting a person; and b. means for mounting said wing on a person such that the person is in generally vertical alignment with the center of pressure of said wing and said wing is not more than approximately two chord lengths from the ground when the person is standing on the ground.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim

Claim 3
Dependent Claim
22 words
The hang glider of claim 1 wherein the area of said wing is within the range of 20 to 75 square feet.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
20 words
The hang glider of claim 2 wherein at least one of the major surfaces of said wing is corrugated paperboard.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
22 words
The hang glider of claim 1 wherein said wing loading is within the range of 2.5 to 5.5 pounds per square feet.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
20 words
The hang glider of claim 4 wherein at least one of the major surfaces of said wing is corrugated paperboard.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
13 words
The wing of claim 5 wherein said major surface is the top surface.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
14 words
The wing of claim 6 wherein the corrugations of said paperboard are transversely disposed.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
13 words
The wing of claim 7 wherein said paperboard is single wall corrugated paperboard.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
16 words
The wing of claim 5 wherein said major surface is the bottom surface of said wing.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim
14 words
The wing of claim 9 wherein the corrugations of said paperboard are longitudinally disposed.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim
14 words
The wing of claim 10 wherein said corrugated paperboard is double wall corrugated paperboard.
