Abstract
Abstract An electrostatographic imaging system wherein the imaging surface is cyclically cleaned of residual nonaqueous liquid developer by contacting the imaging surface with a cleaning liquid which is miscible with the nonaqueous liquid developer to dissolve substantially all residual liquid developer. Removal of the miscible cleaning liquid and dissolved liquid developer from the imaging surface may be accomplished with a thin film of liquid being permitted to remain on the imaging surface for every cycle.
