Abstract
Abstract The method of controlling estrus and ovulation in female bovines by the administration of 11-lower alkyl steroids and 11-lower alkyl steroid compositions for use therein. Drug delivery system for the controlled elution of 11-lower alkyl steroids comprising the steroid adsorbed in a copolymer of a monoester of an olefinic acid and a diester of an olefinic acid. The method of controlling estrus and ovulation in female bovines by the implantation of said drug delivery system in the bovines, followed by removal at a predetermined period, alternatively augmenting the estrus response by administration of an estrogenic compound.
