Abstract A tennis practice range is provided which comprises a common central receive court and a plurality of individual stroke courts. Each stroke court is separated from the common receive court by a separate tennis net. The range permits a number of players to practice simultaneously, with one or more players in each stroke court either serving tennis balls into the common receive court, or returning balls from throwing machines into the common receive court. Also provided is a simple means for automatically collecting practice tennis balls.
