Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 92 words
Apparatus for preparing food concentration in bags, said apparatus comprising a supply of bags comprising flexible semi-permeable film and a relatively rigid neck ring defining a fill opening, means to fill said bags individually in succession with water-containing food product to be concentrated, means to seal the bags after filling thereof, and means to dehydrate the bags contents including a longitudinally extended trough containing a dialyzing aqueous salt solution bath for said bags, and conveyor-engaging means for engaging the bags and conveying the same through the bath by their respective neck rings.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 92 words
Apparatus for preparing food concentration in bags, said apparatus comprising a supply of bags comprising flexible semi-permeable film and a relatively rigid neck ring defining a fill opening, means to fill said bags individually in succession with water-containing food product to be concentrated, means to seal the bags after filling thereof, and means to dehydrate the bags contents including a longitudinally extended trough containing a dialyzing aqueous salt solution bath for said bags, and conveyor-engaging means for engaging the bags and conveying the same through the bath by their respective neck rings.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 28 words
Apparatus according to claim 1 including also fingers carried by said conveyor means and adapted to grasp the bags at the neck ring for movement through the bath.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 31 words
Apparatus according to claim 1 in which said bags comprise film selected from cellulosic, proteinaceous and synthetic organic polymeric films having differential permeability to water relative to other food product components
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 18 words
Apparatus according to claim 3 including also means beyond the bath to rinse salt solution from the bags.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 35 words
Apparatus according to claim 3 in which said neck ring is rigid and defines a fill opening for the bag and in which said conveyor means includes fingers adapted to engage the bag neck ring.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 141 words
Apparatus for preparing food concentrates in bags which comprises a fill station, a rinse station, and a dialyzing salt bath therebetween, conveyor means having a succession of bagengaging fingers and adapted to advance a succession of individual food container bags through said bath between the fill station and the rinse station, each of said bags comprising flexible semi-permeable film and a relatively rigid neck ring defining a fill opening by said fingers engaging said bag neck rings to carry the bags in downwardly depending relation to said fill station, means to fill a single portion of water-containing food product to be concentrated into each bag in sequence at said fill station, means to seal each such portion in its bag and means operating the conveyor to pass the filled individual bags through said bath to dehydrate the food product by dialysis.
