Abstract
Abstract WHEREIN R3 and R4 are hydrogen or lower alkyl. These compounds possess anorexigenic, analgesic and lipid metabolism regulating properties. Amino acids and their derivatives of the formula: WHEREIN - X is hydrogen or halogen, - R is - HYDROXYL - LOWER ALKYLOXY, WHEREIN R1 and R2 are hydrogen, lower alkyl, PHENYL, PYRIDYL, HALOPHENYL, HALOPYRIDYL, LOWER AKLYLPHENYL, LOWER ALKYLPYRIDYL, LOWER ALKYLOXYPHENYL, LOWER ALKYLOXYPYRIDYL, TRIFLUOREMETHYLPHENYL, TRIFLUOROMETHYLPYRIDYL; R2 is CONH2 provided that R1 is hydrogen, and R1 + R2 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached are morpholinyl, pyrrolidinyl, piperidyl, indolinyl or isoindolinyl; or
