Abstract
Abstract Adherent coatings of arylene sulfide polymers are formed by applying to substrates a mixture of an arylene sulfide polymer and selected nitrogenous organic compounds. The arylene sulfide polymer-nitrogen-containing organic compound mixture is preferably applied as a slurry to a substrate in a carrier liquid, such as ethylene glycol, methyl alcohol, water, toluene, and the like or mixtures thereof, and thereafter heated to form a coating.
