Abstract

Abstract A non-woven mesh reflector for radio waves comprises two or more parallelly positioned layers of electrically conductive high modulus, high yield strength, inextensible fibers. The fibers in each layer extend parallel to each other and the fibers of one layer extend in a direction different from the direction of the fibers of the other layer. Examples of fibers include wires of beryllium, aluminum, stainless steel type 304, CHROMEL R, INVAR 36, and other alloys of the stainless steel INVAR type.
