Abstract
Abstract Mixtures of the heavy metal salts of 1-hydroxy-2-pyridinethione and either diphenylbismuth acetate, bismuth trichloride, bismuth formic iodide, or bismuth subgallate, provide synergistic antibacterial and antifungal activity, especially against Pseudomonas aeruginosa; compositions containing said mixture exhibit this same antibacterial and antifungal effectiveness.
